As part of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, it seemed important to us to get closer to these women who do not have access to the basic hygiene kit. This morning the UFUS team went to the civil prison in Niamey. We were able to meet around fifty women with whom we spoke and raised awareness about the importance of hygiene. Subsequently, donations of towels were made to the inmates. We extend our thanks to Mr. Moutari, director of the penitentiary administration, to Captain Fouta, manager of the civil prison, as well as the entire professional body of the Niamey civil prison.
