WOMEN’S WEEK

Mar 21, 2024 | Non classé

The international community has chosen the date of March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Rights Day. Why settle for one day when we know that there are thousands of women who are victims of domestic violence (1 in 3 women), that hundreds of young girls are still deprived of access to education . Can we really talk about equality when even in so-called developed societies, women with equal skills receive a lower salary than men.

The ailments and challenges faced by women are numerous and one day could not be enough to address them. It is with this in mind that SDF by UFUS (Women’s Week by a girl, a bag) was born.

It is under the theme of “Sexism or Culture” that the first edition of the SDF by UFUS will take place from March 8 to 14.

PROGRAM :

March 13: panel “Sexism or culture? » with Sadjo Paquita, Marie-Rosalie Sagna and Freeman Binagana.
From March 8 to 14: “7 days music challenge – Women edition” competition (Subscribe to the Instagram page, tag 3 friends in comments and try to win a $50 SEPHORA gift card)
March 10: open discussion with 73 6th grade students from Ecofo Ngagara Primary School in Burundi (subject: what is the role of women in society?)
