Humanitarian missions 2021

Une fille, un sac is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the education of young girls and restore confidence in women.

In September 2021, the NGO Une fille, un sac will lead two humanitarian missions in Niger and Burundi in order to promote better access to education for 827 girls.

The objective is $22,500 (Canadian dollars) so 87% of donations will go directly to financing our missions and the remaining 13% will be used for administrative procedures distributed as follows:

The distribution of school kits in Burundi and Niger.
Covering school fees for girls in Burundi and Niger.

01

Burundi

We work with the Sainte Thérèse de Mushasha high school in Gitega. It is a boarding school which welcomes more than 800 students, exclusively young girls aged between 12 and 18 years old. The main challenges encountered are tuition fees and the need for school and computer equipment. Thus we will support 460 girls.

Donations will be distributed as follows:

450 girls will benefit:

Complete school kit (notebook, pens, tracing materials, ruler, scissors, pencils, pencil case)

10 most deprived students will receive:

Tuition support
Coverage of boarding fees
Complete school kit

Niger

We work in close collaboration with the Dar Es Salem school in Niamey. The primary school welcomes nearly 675 students, more precisely 367 girls. The main challenges observed are access to school supplies. We will therefore provide our support to 367 girls.

287 students will receive:

Complete school kit (notebook, pens, tracing materials, ruler, scissors, pencils, pencil case)

The 80 most deprived students will benefit from:

Uniform
Backpack
Complete school kit
